DJ Eddie One made a career defining realization in 2002. The in-demand Los Angeles-based street promoter and co-owner of West Coast Record Pool saw the consolidation of the music business was on course to hurt his business, so he decided to redirect his focus. I was getting all this free vinyl from the labels that I was already servicing to all these DJs, he recalls. So I said, I might as well put it to work.
Since then, DJ Eddie One has established himself as a major DJ force in the Los Angeles area. He is the Mixshow Coordinator at KXOL Latino 96.3 FM and can be heard on the air Monday through Saturday 3pm-7pm In this capacity, Eddie One is able to reconnect to his Latino roots by speaking Spanglish on the air and playing a varierity on his mixes of Reggaeton, Hip Hop, Top 40, Bachata, Dance by going from Spanish to English back and forth he also aspires to be a program director a major radio station some day.
DJ Eddie One has a unique taste in music so we were excited to find out his favorites of the new year! Check out DJ Eddie One’s favorites and what he’s listening to right now!

From his astonishing early days as a DMC world champ by age 15 to his acclaimed DVD “Sunglasses Is A Must” to releasing 2007’s monumental Dirty South Dance mix (Obey), Montreal-born and New York-based DJ A-Trak has consistently exceeded all expectations of a traditional DJ.
He launched his own record label, Fool’s Gold Records, toured the world non-stop as a solo artist and as Kanye West’s DJ, produced and helped develop the career of much hyped Downtown Records recording artist Kid Sister, and remixed tracks for prominent artists such as Bonde do Role, Boys Noize, Simian Mobile Disco, Kanye West, and Digitalism. Born and bred in LA, radio gal sandy panther has had the nickname sandy panther since 2001 and can barely recall her last name when most people ask her. She first got her foot in the door in the world of music when she cold called LA Weekly for an internship and secured one by the end of the phone call. At LA Weekly, she worked closely with the Music Editor and also wrote concert reviews and took pictures for them whenever she could. During that time, she also spent a couple years at Under the Radar Magazine and Filter Magazine doing close to the same thing until in 2007, she had a change of mind and got herself into then Star 98.7. Her roles have evolved over the years, as has 98-7FM, but her mainstay is in programming music. She currently produces to the morning show with Kennedy for 98-7FM in Los Angeles along with producing online content for 987fm.com. She also listens to an insane amount of new and unsigned music for 98-7FM and 102.7 KIIS-FM.

In 2007, five musicians from Harlow, Essex formed Morning Parade, an alternative rock band singing about the pressures of young people inspired by “what’s real and what’s around us.” Steve Sparrow (vocals/guitar), Chad Thomas (guitar), Ben Giddings (keyboards), Phil Titus (bass) and Andy Hayes (drums) write music for the new generation of young people who are looking to establish themselves and their future. As Steve notes: “There’s a massive pressure on young people now. Most don’t know what they want to do until their mid twenties. It leaves people demoralized and isolated. Children are taught Maths and English at school but not how to apply themselves to a career path, a calling, or an ambition.” For many young people, Steve speaks the truth.
All the way from the UK, Morning Parade is showing their love for fellow Brits like Bloc Party and The Macabees in their Top 10 tracks of 2012!
