How did you get started using SoundTracking?
I saw SoundTracking on Apple’s App Store as a featured free download. It was music related so I had to at least try it. The ‘Now Playing’ feature sold me. I always have music on.
What’s your favorite thing about the app?
I’m that guy who’s always saying “You’ve gotta check out this band…” or reminding someone about a classic album that being re-released. SoundTracking makes sharing my old and new favorites almost effortless. And probably far less annoying.
What’s SoundTracking your life right now?
Local college/volunteer radio. I’m lucky to live near Seattle, Washington where I can listen to KEXP live from Seattle and KGRG broadcast from Green River Community College. I tag a lot of my posts from those two stations, both of which are available for listening online.
What’s your Throwback Thursday jam?
I’d have to go way back to The King, Elvis Presley and play ‘That’s All Right’. I’m from Memphis so I gotta represent.
What is your favorite SoundTracking post?
Easy one. My first post for #mysoundtracking, one of several great communities of folks that have developed since you guys launched your app! It was “The Theme from Flash Gordon” by Queen.
What is your favorite SoundTracking post from another SoundTracker?
That would be djrubberduckie posting “To Hell With Good Intentions” by Mclusky. That was my first real music connection on SoundTracking other than the usual “WOW! You like the Beatles? I like the Beatles TOO!” kind of stuff.
If you could suggestion one person to follow on SoundTracking, who would it be?
I had to scroll my following list for a while to pick just one but it would have to be kdb112. I like her taste in music, but more than that, she’s hilarious. I mean, there are often tears I laugh so hard.
Lastly, if you had to pick one song as the theme/soundtrack to your life, what would it be?
This probably changes close to hourly but generally speaking, it’s “Blow It Out” by The Features. The lyrics say it all!
