In 2007, five musicians from Harlow, Essex formed Morning Parade, an alternative rock band singing about the pressures of young people inspired by “what’s real and what’s around us.” Steve Sparrow (vocals/guitar), Chad Thomas (guitar), Ben Giddings (keyboards), Phil Titus (bass) and Andy Hayes (drums) write music for the new generation of young people who are looking to establish themselves and their future. As Steve notes: “There’s a massive pressure on young people now. Most don’t know what they want to do until their mid twenties. It leaves people demoralized and isolated. Children are taught Maths and English at school but not how to apply themselves to a career path, a calling, or an ambition.” For many young people, Steve speaks the truth.
All the way from the UK, Morning Parade is showing their love for fellow Brits like Bloc Party and The Macabees in their Top 10 tracks of 2012!

Soundtracker Just_Zoey is constantly sharing great songs on SoundTracking. We’re always excited to see which perfect picture she chooses to pair the music with! This week, she shares her favorite things about SoundTracking.
Love Just_Zoey’s musical taste? Follow her on SoundTracking and listen to her soundtrack with our app in Spotify!
How did you get started using SoundTracking?
I actually came across the app in the iTunes store and liked the concept of sharing the music of my daily life. Once I started using the app I was hooked.
What’s your favorite thing about the app?
I think my favorite thing about the app is discovering new music. Soundtracking has definitely helped me expand my music collection and I’ve gotten to know some great people through our love of music.
What’s SoundTracking your life right now?
The new Killers album is soundtracking my life right now. It’s a great album.
What’s your Throwback Thursday jam?
My Throwback Thursday jams change each week. Lol, it depends on my mood. It could be Whitesnake - Here I Go Again, to the Geto Boys - Damn It Feels Good to Be a Gangster, or even Sam Cooke - Bring It On Home to Me.
What is your favorite SoundTracking post?
I really enjoyed all the Morning Parade posts but this was probably my favorite.
What is your favorite SoundTracking post from another Soundtracker?
ASousa and I have very similar music tastes. I love how he’ll post songs that I haven’t heard in ages. I loved his post of Flesh for Lulu - I Go Crazy because Some Kind of Wonderful is one of my favorite movies.
If you could suggestion one person to follow on SoundTracking, who would it be? (Yes, just one!)
Ugh, why only one?!?!?! Lol. I guess would say NuclearChalupa because his posts have introduced me to new music that I may not have heard otherwise.
Lastly, if you had to pick one song as the theme/soundtrack to your life, what would it be?
Don’t forget to follow Just_Zoey on SoundTracking and listen to her playlist on Spotify!
………………………………………………………………………………………………………… If you love the app as much as we do, identify as a super soundtracker at heart, keep posting sweet tracks and maybe you’ll be next!
